Songboling is located within Mingjian Township of Nantou. Songboling was previously named Songbokeng, and is at approximately 500 meters above sea level at the south of Baguashan. The location produces the largest amount of tea leaves and is the area with the most concentrated tea leaf production throughout Taiwan. The unique geographical landscape, weather, and red soil makes the environment perfect for tea leaves. The Songbo Tea Aroma Trail is within the Songboling area of Mingjian Township and Tri-mountain National Scenic Area, a trail that opened with the tea leaf production sites on either side and guides visitors to enjoy the characteristic tea gardens and natural scenery. The trail is 2.6 kilometers long, connecting Songboling and Tianzhong Forest Park with the aroma of tea spreading in the air along the way, a perfect location for travel and leisure. Forest 18 Leisure Farm is located within the Tri-mountain National Scenic Area and includes a 4,000-ping Eucalyptus forest, with 400 meters above sea level looking over the irrigation reservoir of Baguashan, a unique water conservancy project known as “The Shangri-La of Mingjian” and “Little Sun Moon Lake.” When visitors are passing through the tea gardens and fields filled with pineapples and Yam, the natural Eucalyptus trees enter the sight. Take a slow, deep breath and let the Phytoncid of the forest guide you into the loving care of the land, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Slow down your footsteps and see the traces of the changing sunlight, listen to the sound of tealeaves in the wind, and awaken your longing for nature. The Panoramic Sky Walk is located within the Tri-mountain National Scenic Area at the middle section of Baguashan, next to Houtanjing Recreation Area. It is 204 meters long and a total of 262 stairs, longer than Jhushan’s Bamboo Sky Ladder, which is 136 meters long and has 208 stairs between the two ridge lines. The pineapple cakes by made by Sunnyhills are all 6cm × 3cm × 2cm, overturning the traditional shapes of pineapple cakes and delighting customers with the slightly sour taste of the filling. The pineapple cakes of Sunnyhills have led to a transformation of the industry in Baguashan and has become a legend in the area. On the weekends, the few Sanheyuan along County Highway No. 139 are filled with visitors, with cars queued for more than 100 meters outside the courtyard. Long queues are also visible within the courtyards, with adults queuing and children playing. All these people are waiting for freshly baked pineapple cakes. The legend of pineapple cakes and the transformation of Baguashan continues to this day.
