Houtanjing Recreation Area (Panoramic Skywalk)
Located in Fuli Village of Nantou City, Houtanjing Recreation Area is a famous attraction in the Baguashan Scenic Area. The valley here resembles a well, and in front of the valley is a hill that looks like a monkey peering down to the bottom of the well. This is how Houtanjing got its name (monkey peeking at the well).
Ancient Settlement
Tourism Features: At the foot of Bagua Mountain next to Shanjiao Road in Shetou Township, Changhua County (County Highway No. 137), we can see Qijiao Liu's Residence and Yuemei Pond Liu's Residence, which is the largest group of historic buildings in Taiwan.
Qingshuiyan Temple
Legend has it that Qingshuiyan Temple was founded by Master Juetong, a monk from Quanzhou, in 1728. He made a straw shed here while meditating and studying the ways of Buddha, which touched followers. When the number of worshippers increased, fund was gathered to build a temple and the straw shed was built into a temple on 1758, worshipping Sanbao Buddha. Followers also built a closed conduit to guide mountain water and made a well out of it, naming it “Heart Washing Pond”.
Chishuiqi Park
Chishuiqi park is a natural ecology resort built on Jioujhong South Road. It has forests and grassland scenery. Visitor can observe flocks of birds and a myriad of plants here.
Tianzhong Forest Park
Tianzhong Forest Park is located in the eastern part of Tianjhong Township. The park has dense forests and trails stretching along the mountains overlooking the Changhua Plain and Taiwan Strait.
Changqing Bikeway
Changqing Bikeway is approx 6 km long. According to the smoothness and gradient of the path, it can be divided into two routes: regular and challenging. The 4-km-long regular way pass by Zantian Temple and Qingshuiyan and ends at Hutian Temple.
