八卦山天空步道Exploring the charm of a city often begins in its old city area. Yongle Street Business District in the heart of Changhua City is filled with numerous local delicacies, such as mullet fish noodles, steamed buns, and shaved ice, which are beloved by the locals. The area features neatly arranged signs and pedestrian-friendly roads, serving as a model for urban revitalization. Trendy fashion stores, bars, and Japanese-style hot pot restaurants, along with the historic Qing An Temple, are the highlights that catch travelers' attention. On the north side of Changhua Train Station, you'll find Taiwan's only "fan-shaped train garage," built in 1922, which is still in use as a railway maintenance facility and is known as the "train hotel" among railroad enthusiasts.

Starting from the Changhua Life Arts Museum, take a leisurely stroll on the 1,005-meter-long Baguashan Skywalk, which leads to one of the most famous landmarks in central Taiwan, the Baguashan Great Buddha. The elevated trail through the canopy offers stunning views, especially during the blooming season of crimson red phoenix flowers from May to July. In the Baguashan Great Buddha Scenic Area, you can enjoy the Nine Dragons Pond Water Dance and explore the Poetry Wall dedicated to Lai Ho, the father of Taiwanese modern literature. The famous circular trail provides a bird's-eye view of the surrounding cityscape.
