On the 7th, Island Sky made its maiden call at Taichung Port. In coordination with Taiwan International Ports Corporation, Taichung City Government and Changhua County Government jointly welcomed more than 100 travelers from Hong Kong at the Taichung Port Passenger Terminal, where specialty products from Changhua County were also presented as welcome gifts.

Departing from Hong Kong, this voyage links Port of Kaohsiung, Taichung Port, Keelung Port, and Port of Hualien to form an around-the-island route. In addition to welcome performances arranged by Taiwan International Ports Corporation, the event also incorporated performances from the Taichung International Dance Carnival, while Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area Headquarters assisted in setting up welcome services and tourism information at the passenger terminal.

Taichung Port's return to international cruise routes brings overseas visitors to destinations in the Central Taiwan Tourism Union, including Sun Moon Lake, urban Taichung City, and Baguashan Scenic Area, offering international travelers a diverse travel experience.

Passenger Louise said that her previous impression of Taichung had mostly centered on the city and its food. After visiting through this cruise itinerary, however, she found that the area offers not only a vibrant urban setting, but also historic neighborhoods, natural landscapes, and religious culture, making the itinerary very rich. Another passenger, Frank, also said that he felt the warmth of the Taiwanese people from the moment he disembarked. Local fruit and distinctive souvenir gifts were especially memorable, leaving him with an excellent first impression of Central Taiwan.
