Lighting up Taiwan's tallest Christmas tree, the Lishan–Guguan Light Art Festival illuminated Lishan.

For the fifth consecutive year, the highest Christmas tree in Taiwan was illuminated in Lishan from December 21 to January 25, inviting visitors to spend the Christmas and New Year holidays. The event combined mountain lights with musical performances to create a romantic, festive atmosphere. 
2025山谷燈光節合照The highlight of the Lishan event was two 28-meter-tall Christmas trees, designed to mimic a meteor shower, creating the visual effect of a sky full of twinkling stars. The organizer also strung lights in the square to enhance family interaction and festive atmosphere, adding a fairytale feel to the night. 
2025山谷燈光節聖誕樹燈飾While the Guguan venue focused on hot springs, nighttime light shows, and trail experiences, the Lishan venue combined mountain views, musical performances, and a festive atmosphere. They offered diverse travel options and were popular with young people and independent travelers.
2025山谷燈光節主視覺燈飾On the morning of January 1, 2026, the organizer held a flag-raising ceremony in the square in front of the Lishan Guest House to welcome the first rays of dawn and set expectations for the new year in the morning light of the mountains.
