It mainly worships Avalokiteśvara and Mazu and was formerly known as one of the "Three Rock-Temples and Two Temples" in central Taiwan. To visit Baozang Temple, you must see three things.
Firstly, people said that Emperor Jiaqing gave the plaque "Baoshan No.1" stored in the temple during his stay in Taiwan. Secondly, the wooden architectural carvings are works of early Guangdong artisans worthy of careful appreciation. Thirdly, the ancient Guarding-Dragon Bell is also a historical artifact, and the temple recommends that you listen to it carefully. Every year, Mazu's birthday (March 23 in the lunar calendar) and the Lantern Festival in Baozang Temple have very traditional folk activities in Taiwan.
