After the original inhabitat was taken by the Japanese and the Han Chinese settlers, the Saisiyat headed to Luchang Mountain and later moved to Xiangtian Lake.

The Museum of Saisiyat Folklore holds a series of exhibitions and plays videos from time to time. You can also register for a guided tour with a Saisiyat member as your tour guide.

Pasta'ai, also known as pasta’ay in the Saisiyat language, is “the Saisiyat Ritual of the Short Black People” held every two years.A big rite will be held every 10 years. The ritual is held next to the Museum of Saisiyat Folklore.
