After walking along Gongyuan Road (County Highway No. 139 scenic road) and passing the nursing home, there is an obvious sign of Eagle Watching Platform on your left hand side. You can reach there after entering Wuling Industrial Road by following the sign. It is recommended to park your vehicle at County Highway No. 139 and walk there.

At abandoned fruit gardens along the way, you may have the opportunity to find many kinds of birds, insects and small animals. This place is the major location for the annual “Eagle Soaring at Bagua: Eagle Observing Event” held on spring equinox at March! This Eagle Observation Platform is the other high ground in regard to the Great Buddha of Baguashan. Besides observing passing gray-faced buzzards, the valley between the two mountains below are the best location for seeing them hunt, land in the afternoon and take off in the morning. There are around 20,000 transiting gray-faced buzzards every year.

After spring equinox and entering April is the transit season of Chinese goshawks. Although they are smaller and harder to see, tens-of-thousands of Chinese goshawks have been observed transiting annually. Visitors who are interested can try to observe them.
