4The Baiguoshan Trail Complex has installed a mascot called “OhBear” at the playground. It is the first 2.5-meter tall mascot in Taiwan and serves as the tourism ambassador. “OhBear” is a notable landmark for visitors to take check-in photos.
The slide area is painted with vibrant and diverse colors and equipped with a climbing net, trampoline, jumping pillars, rock climbing equipment, and a play mound. These diverse recreational facilities cater to parents and children of all ages, offering a rich and varied playing experience.
Yuanlin's Mt. Baiguo (Hundred Fruits) area produces abundant fruits, and its candied fruits attract sweet-toothed visitors from all over. The area, with its dense forests, also provides stunning scenery. From the magnificent Guangtian Temple, you will have panoramic views of Yuanlin City.
Follow Chushui Lane to Erbaikan, Sanbaikan, and Sibaikan trails, and you can climb the Reclining Dragon Slope and the scenic outlook.
At dawn and dusk, there is generally a steady stream of visitors who come for hiking and enjoying the scenery. Children are especially fond of the giant slide here.
Baiguoshan Trail Complex is located near Baiguoshan, Yuanlin. You can get there from the entrance at Chushui Alley on Shanjiao Road (County Highway No. 137) or from Yuannan Road. There are three hiking trails: Erbaikan, Sanhaikan, and Sihbaikan. You can access these trails through different entrances. You will never feel bored when you go up step by step because there are many lychee and star fruit orchards along the route.
Once you reach the main ridgeline of the trail, you can overlook the Changhua Plain on both sides. Hiking up along the main ridgeline, you can rest and enjoy the incredible views at the Shangqin Memorial Pavilion.
Follow the industrial road down to the valley. You can return to Chushui Alley. This is a popular hiking route. Due to the outstanding weather conditions in Yuanlin Baiguoshan, which provide ample sunlight, this area is renowned for producing candied fruits unlike its neighboring townships that focus on fresh fruit production. As a result, it has earned the reputation of being the "Candied Fruit Kingdom." If you like sour and sweet tastes, you definitely cannot miss these candied fruits that are awesome in their appearance, taste, and aroma!
