Kahkahoe'an Community is a Say-Siyat village with around 20 households. A total of 8 mountaintops can be seen from here when looking southwards, thus gaining the name “Hakaliki” in the Japanese Colonial Era, meaning “8 mountains”.

After Taiwan restoration, the tribe gained its present name due to similar pronunciation. At Kahkahoe'an Cultural Area, besides being able to enjoy the authentic singing and dancing of the Say-Siyat People, there are also restaurants, hostels and an exhibition center that exhibits art craft works made by the Say-Siyat People. Visit this place if you want to experience authentic aboriginal culture!
