Originally known as the “Dixin Temple” (Dixin in Mandarin means heart-cleansing), it was built in 1914 by Venerable Miaochan, also known as the Miaochan Temple. The Romanesque Corinthian columns add to the beauty of the temple’s European style, and there are inscriptions by the renowned painter and calligrapher Puru and works by the grammatologist Dong Zuobin, all of which are worthy of appreciation for the collection of cultural relics.
