The Penglai River Ecology Trail in Nanjhuang is known for its rusticity and originality. This area is completely natural with only a few bridges made out of bamboo and simple rock and wooden steps. Alongside these paths are rich ecological resources--plants and animals, birds and insects.
In the streams you can see unique species of aquatic life such as the Ku hua (Varicorhinus barbatulus), Taiwan stone minnow (Acrossocheilus paradoxus), and Yi chi hua (Candidia barbata), making this a very special place for fascinating ecological tours.
