The Dajia River originates from the Xue Mountain Range, and its watershed is mainly located in Taichung City, but also includes a small part of Nantou County and Yilan County, with mountains and terraces accounting for 90% of the terrain. The Songmao Tribal Village is situated on the flat ridges between the Dajia River and its tributary, the Hehuan River.
