Mqoyat means happiness in the Atayal language, and the place is romantically named “Mqoyat-Sakura Affinity Hill” for the cherry blossom rain in early spring every year. After reconstruction in 2016, a parking space and an observation platform have been added, so that visitors can watch the sunrise and enjoy the sea of clouds, thereby taking in the beauty of the scenery at one go.
