Crested Serpent Eagle appears at Baguashan; Tri-Mountain Administration: it contains eagle appreciation and religious meaning.

According to Tri-Mountain Administration, various eagles will fly north from Southeast Asia back to the original habitat in Siberia between March and Qingming Festival every year. They will fly through Baguashan at Nantou and Changhua areas. Shoutian Temple, which is the headquarters of Xuantian Shangdi (also called Diyegong) worship all over the country, is located at Songboling in Mingjian Township among Baguashan. What’s even more of a coincident is that we can often see snakes near Shoutian Temple. Other than adding the mystery of legend of Xuantian Shangdi bringing snake spirit and turtle spirit under control, visitors can also see the food chain in the natural ecology.
Tri-Mountain Administration further highlights that with the increasing intensity and frequency of raptors, including Crested Serpent Eagle, Crested Goshawk, Sparrow Hawk, and Chinese Goshawk, over the sky of Baguashan, it means the annual eagle appreciation season is right around the corner. The “Yinyang Bagua” activity planned this year will hold its opening ceremony at Wende Elementary School at Fenyuan Township, Changhua County on March 19th.
