I once saw a picture of a bamboo hut on the cover of a travel book. I have often wondered where that forest was. And by chance I came to Baxianshan Forest Recreation Area and was surprised to find the picture right before me; I could not help but imitate the photographer by taking a shot of a similar picture. This place really matches the bamboo grove scene from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. If the trail does not collapse, going further in, some people may really think that Ang Lee shot the scene right here!
Not far from the bamboo grove is an ecological classroom that was converted from the site of a derelict elementary school. The concrete combined with the wood ensures an elegant and low-key appearance. Inside is a display of a variety of specimens of butterflies and insects, which are worth taking a look at.
