Transformed from a safari park into a diversified theme park, the Leofoo Village today offers exciting performances as well as a wide variety of thrilling rides. It has been designated by the Tourism Bureau as an "excellent theme park." In 2001, the Leofoo Village introduced its "Screaming Condor" U-shaped suspended spiral slide—the first such ride in Asia and only the second of its kind in the world. Also, in 2003, the "Ape Zoo" inaugurated with more than 100 gorillas, gibbons, and other rare primates of almost 30 species. This is the largest zoo of its type in Asia. The Leofoo Village theme park has four different theme areas; including : (1)An Arabian Kingdom with a feel of the Middle East that gives you the romance of a strange land in a palace setting. (2)The Wild West which strives to re-create 19th century Arizona; enter here, and you go back in history to the early opening of the American West. (3)The South Pacific adventure area is filled with tropical romance, where smack in the middle is a precipitous volcanic island with large bamboo houses built along the cliffs, and finally. (4)Pass through the ivory gate and you will enter the natural and primitive Safari Kingdom, making you feel like you are on the plains of Africa. This part of the park is divided into two areas, one for fierce animals and one for herbivores; in the herbivore area you can walk, but in the fierce animal area you have to stay in a park bus.
