History of Tri-Mountain
History of Tri-Mountain

With pleasant and agreeable weather; gorgeous scenery; splendid mountains; rich animal and plant ecology; multiple natural, cultural and industrial resources; and convenient transportation, central Taiwan has been a famous tourist spot for a long time, and the Lion's Head Mountain Scenic Area, Lishan Scenic Area and Baguashan Scenic Area are the most famous attractions in the spot.

The Ministry of Transportation and Communications thus planned the Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area by integrating the Lion's Head Mountain, Lishan and Baguashan scenic areas at provincial level in order to form a quality and well-planned tourism service network. The MOTC also established the Tri-Mountain National Scenic Park Headquarters on 16 March 2001 to operate and manage the scenic area.
